Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM tools for security incidents and analyze alerts for potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation activities
- Implement security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Generate comprehensive security reports for stakeholders and leadership
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend defensive improvements
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices across infrastructure
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection and analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent security certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security
- Experience with incident response procedures and forensic investigation
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or related field preferred
