Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate potential security incidents using forensic tools and techniques
- Assist in implementing NIST 800-53 security controls
- Document vulnerabilities and remediation actions in JIRA
- Participate in red team exercises and penetration testing
- Stay current on emerging threats via MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on secure coding practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and cloud architecture (AWS/Azure)
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) preferred
- 0-2 years of relevant internship/co-op experience
