Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and document security incidents using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing exercises
- Assist in developing security policies and procedures
- Participate in threat intelligence analysis and reporting
- Support incident response activities under mentorship
- Perform security audits and compliance assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Familiarity with network security principles (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems
- Understanding of common attack vectors and mitigation techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 SOC environment
