Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to potential threats
- Assist in incident response procedures, including documentation and containment activities
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision
- Implement security controls across network infrastructure and cloud environments
- Conduct security awareness training for employees
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security policy development
- Maintain compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or pursuing within 6 months)
- Familiarity with network security concepts (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Understanding of common attack vectors and defense mechanisms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
