Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and analyze security incidents
- Perform vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Burp Suite
- Document security events and contribute to incident response playbooks
- Assist in implementing NIST 800-53 controls for compliance frameworks
- Conduct phishing simulation tests and security awareness training
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on secure CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Participate in quarterly penetration testing exercises
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or enrolled)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows command-line interfaces
- Knowledge of common attack vectors (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
- Ability to work rotating on-call schedules (1:5 rotation)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Valid U.S. driver's license for occasional client site visits
