Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise networks
- Implement and monitor advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Develop incident response protocols and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Manage security information and event management (SIEM) platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Document security procedures and conduct employee training sessions
- Research emerging threats and recommend proactive countermeasures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing tools
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
