Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches, documenting findings and implementing remediation steps.
- Implement, configure, and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPNs to secure network boundaries.
- Ensure strict compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and industry-specific regulatory frameworks.
- Develop and maintain robust security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 2-5 years of proven experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or IT security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common networking protocols.
- Experience with incident response frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-61) and risk management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) is a significant plus.
