Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Manage firewall configurations and network security policies to enforce compliance standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of software and applications.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports for audit purposes.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience as a Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, or in a related IT security role.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar).
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP) and security technologies (Firewalls, VPNs).
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks such as NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are highly preferred.
