Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and provide detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and improve security posture
- Develop threat intelligence reports and recommend proactive security measures
- Participate in security audits, penetration testing, and compliance assessments
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST frameworks)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, network security tools, and log analysis
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat models
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and intrusion detection systems
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security issues clearly
- Proven ability to work under pressure during security incidents
