Responsibilities
- Monitor and Respond: Analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools to detect, respond to, and mitigate cyber threats in real-time.
- Incident Management: Lead incident response investigations, perform forensic analysis, and coordinate with legal and executive teams during breaches.
- Threat Hunting: Conduct proactive searches for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and vulnerabilities within the network infrastructure.
- Security Hardening: Assess network architecture and implement patches, configurations, and best practices to reduce the attack surface.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on phishing, social engineering, and safe computing practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, and SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, or LogRhythm).
- Scripting: Ability to write scripts (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) to automate security tasks and investigations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
