Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Generate incident response reports and recommend remediation actions
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Document security policies and procedures for internal/external stakeholders
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends through continuous research
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network analysis tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and cloud security concepts
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple security incidents
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting and documentation
