Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems, logs, and network traffic 24/7 to detect and neutralize potential threats.
- Conduct forensic analysis on security breaches and coordinate immediate incident response efforts.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing during off-hours operations.
- Analyze threat intelligence reports to predict and prevent sophisticated cyberattacks.
- Ensure strict compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and internal security protocols.
- Document security incidents and generate detailed reports for executive management review.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to escalate and resolve critical alerts.
Qualifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SOC or Security Operations Center.
- Deep knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm, or ArcSight).
- Proficiency in network security protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick, critical decisions under pressure.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts and holidays as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
