Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware, ransomware, and intrusion attempts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client systems
- Document security incidents, forensic evidence, and remediation activities
- Collaborate with on-call engineers to implement security patches and hardening measures
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay updated on emerging threats and attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
- OSPF/ASA firewall configuration experience
- Valid driver's license for occasional client site visits
