Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with minimal downtime
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Document security incidents and provide actionable recommendations
- Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity or information security roles
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Experience with SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
- Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+, CompTIA Security+) preferred
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 10am-6pm)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus
