Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and hardening measures
- Document security incidents and generate comprehensive forensic reports
- Stay current on emerging threats through continuous research and threat intelligence
- Participate in weekend security drills and incident response simulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security architectures
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Experience with forensic investigation tools (EnCase, FTK)
