Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware, phishing, and intrusion attempts
- Execute vulnerability scans and penetration tests on enterprise systems
- Document security incidents and remediation actions in ticketing systems (ServiceNow/Jira)
- Collaborate with on-call engineers during critical incident escalations
- Generate weekly shift reports highlighting threat trends and mitigation effectiveness
- Stay current with emerging threats via threat intelligence feeds and security research
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC/NOC operations background
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in security tools: Firewalls (Palo Alto/Check Point), IDS/IPS (Snort/Suricata), EDR (CrowdStrike/Symantec)
- Experience with Windows/Linux system hardening and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Strong analytical skills for correlating network logs and identifying anomalies
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Valid US driver's license for occasional on-site equipment rotations
