Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, network traffic, and system logs during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with rapid containment and mitigation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical assets
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Document security incidents, response procedures, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness initiatives
- Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during off-hours
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
