Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Investigate security breaches, contain threats, and document incident response procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into software development and network architecture.
- Provide security awareness training to employees and conduct regular security audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network security analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, encryption standards, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
