Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the SIEM platform (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before malicious actors exploit them.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions to safeguard network perimeters.
- Lead the incident response process, including containment, eradication, and recovery, minimizing downtime and data loss.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash) or automation tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
