Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security anomalies and threat intelligence
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and forensic triage
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies, incident reports)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security hardening measures
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
- Provide security awareness training to employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools and threat detection platforms
- Knowledge of NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
