Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time within the SIEM environment.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Investigate suspicious network traffic and perform forensic analysis on compromised systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, CIS Controls, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve overall security posture.
- Document security incidents and create detailed reports for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network security analysis.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+, CEH) are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with security tools such as Splunk, FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, or CrowdStrike.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Clearance eligibility (Secret or Top Secret) is a plus for this role.
