Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze network traffic and logs to identify anomalous behavior
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in security audits and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (AlienVault, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
- Valid US driver's license and ability to work flexible hours/on-call rotations
