Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewall rules and security configurations to protect network integrity.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design secure architectures and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network administration.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization.
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence, malware analysis, and incident response procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
