Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and potential threats
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and security policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure regulatory compliance
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
