Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk, QRadar, and AlienVault SIEM platforms
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement containment measures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Provide security awareness training to employees and executive leadership
- Stay current with emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities through threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations, threat hunting, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ CE or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network analysis (Wireshark), and vulnerability scanners
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical security events
- Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
