Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring rapid containment and recovery.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security appliances.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development and deployment practices.
- Generate and distribute security reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a SOC or security analyst role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms (Splunk, SolarWinds, or Azure Sentinel).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
