Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect suspicious activities and respond to incidents in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and implement remediation strategies.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and resolution of security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss while documenting findings for compliance.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing prevention.
- Technical Support: Collaborate with IT teams to configure firewalls, endpoint protection, and network segmentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in network security or a related IT role.
- Certifications: Active certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, VPNs, and understanding of attack vectors.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
