Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM environment (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and risk analysis to identify potential weaknesses in network infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain robust security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, ensuring least privilege access for all users.
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 standards through documentation and audits.
- Collaborate closely with IT and DevOps teams to remediate security gaps and improve system resilience.
- Create detailed incident reports and security documentation to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Active security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCFA are highly preferred.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools, log management, and threat hunting methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and security tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment.
