Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to secure network boundaries.
- Investigate security breaches, root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar).
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and common network protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
