Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps and strengthen defenses
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Lead incident response planning and tabletop exercises
- Research emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex threats clearly
- Must be authorized to work in the US and based in Arizona
