Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, NIST)
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH)
- Proficiency with security tools: IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architectures, and encryption standards
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex threats clearly
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
