Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security gaps
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Manage security tool integrations including firewalls, EDR, and WAF systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity analysis or incident response roles
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA CySA+
- Proficiency in threat detection, network security, and log analysis
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent written communication for reporting and stakeholder updates
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
