Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Develop incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Stay current on threat intelligence and emerging risks
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Experience with network security tools (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Preference for candidates in Houston, TX or Florida
