Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events across the network infrastructure to identify potential threats and suspicious activity.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and execute rapid incident response plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Manage and configure SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) for log aggregation, correlation, and reporting.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) through regular audits and documentation.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and management teams to implement security patches and hardening measures.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and threats to recommend proactive security strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, network defense, or information assurance.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, GSEC, or GCFA are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP, and common network protocols.
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and antivirus solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
