Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, analyzing logs and traffic to contain breaches and mitigate damage.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture and systems.
- Configure and manage network security devices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure implementation of new applications and infrastructure projects.
- Produce detailed reports on security status, threat landscape, and incident summaries for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
- Completion of a foundational cybersecurity course or bootcamp (e.g., Cybrary, EC-Council) or willingness to undergo our paid training program.
- Familiarity with the OSI model, TCP/IP networking, and common network protocols.
- Basic understanding of Linux and Windows server administration and command line interfaces.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to think like a hacker.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
