Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for threats and vulnerabilities using SIEM tools
- Investigate and respond to security incidents following established protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Generate security reports and recommend preventive measures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices
- Stay updated on emerging threats and industry trends
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (rotational schedule)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Passion for cybersecurity and willingness to learn
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Valid California driver’s license (for occasional site visits)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (provided during training)
