Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and systems for malicious activity, intrusions, and anomalies in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches using industry-standard tools.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards across the organization.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed technical logs for audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) during the training period.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency status required for clearance purposes.
