Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and coordinate response actions
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends (MITRE ATT&CK Framework)
- Perform log analysis and forensic investigations during security events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools and network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize high-impact threats
- Excellent written/verbal communication and documentation abilities
