Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for signs of intrusion or malicious activity.
- Assist in the implementation and configuration of security hardware and software.
- Perform routine vulnerability scans and risk assessments on internal systems.
- Log and document security incidents, following established protocols for escalation.
- Support the team in the deployment of security patches and software updates.
- Conduct basic penetration testing exercises under supervision.
- Participate in cybersecurity awareness training and drills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong interest in network security, data privacy, and ethical hacking.
- Familiarity with basic concepts of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Basic understanding of the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability).
