Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and mitigation strategies
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Train staff on security best practices and phishing awareness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid Arizona driver's license for occasional on-site requirements
