Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and analyze potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations on security breaches and cyber incidents
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries for stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and implement security best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends through continuous research
- Assist in developing and testing incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security orchestration tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations
