Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, SolarWinds) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate system weaknesses.
- Investigate and analyze security incidents, including malware analysis and forensic investigations.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems to maintain network integrity.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 through regular audits.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and implement security best practices.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of security policies, incident reports, and technical procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a similar technical role.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with SIEM platforms, firewalls, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during security incidents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
