Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize prompts for GPT-4, Claude, and other LLMs to achieve specific business outcomes
- Develop prompt engineering frameworks for diverse applications (customer service, content generation, data analysis)
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical prompt specifications
- Document prompt strategies, create reusable templates, and maintain engineering best practices
- Analyze prompt performance metrics and iterate based on user feedback and A/B test results
- Stay current with AI advancements and integrate new techniques into prompt development workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on prompt engineering or NLP experience with production AI systems
- Proficiency in Python and experience with API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Exceptional written communication skills with ability to distill complex concepts into clear instructions
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prompt engineering projects with measurable results
- Familiarity with prompt optimization techniques like chain-of-thought and few-shot learning
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
