Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access management systems.
- Develop and execute security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure cloud infrastructure deployment (AWS/Azure).
- Investigate and remediate security breaches to minimize impact and restore systems.
- Provide security awareness training to staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a similar role.
- Valid certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security architectures.
- Proficiency with security tools (SIEM, EDR, SOAR) and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
