Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and breaches
- Develop and implement threat detection protocols for network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Proactively identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in 24/7 rotational on-call incident response coverage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Hands-on experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and network architectures
- Ability to work under pressure during high-stakes security incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
