Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents and breaches.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and manage the patching lifecycle to reduce risk exposure.
- Access Control: Manage user access rights and enforce strict security policies to ensure data confidentiality.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Security Awareness: Assist in training employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Active certification such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
