Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and compile detailed incident reports
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Manage patch management processes and security configurations across network infrastructure
- Provide cybersecurity awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats in high-pressure situations
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred but not required for immediate consideration
