Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and respond to security incidents in real-time
- Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to proactively identify risks
- Analyze malware, intrusion attempts, and anomalous activities using forensic investigation techniques
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts to enhance incident response efficiency
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Create detailed incident reports and executive-level security dashboards
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies through continuous research and training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC preferred (e.g., GCFA, GCIH)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for security automation
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
