Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security incidents and investigate alerts using forensic tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and implement security protocols aligned with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Lead incident response procedures including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security architecture
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst roles
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
