Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with NIST-aligned protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, runbooks)
- Collaborate with forensic teams during breach investigations
- Implement zero-trust architecture and identity management solutions
- Generate executive-level threat intelligence reports
- Lead tabletop exercises for incident response preparedness
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity operations with SOC experience
- CISSP, CISA, or CEH certification (required)
- Expertise in threat detection and incident response
- Hands-on experience with EDR, firewalls, and cloud security
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
- Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
- Experience protecting financial or healthcare systems
